The Christmas Gift
It was Christmas Eve, and young Ellie knelt by her bed, hands folded in prayer. Her family had little, but her heart was full of hope. “Dear Jesus,” she whispered, “thank You for coming to save us. Please help me bring joy to someone this Christmas.”
Outside, the snow fell softly, and a warm light suddenly filled the room. Ellie looked up to see a man in a flowing white robe, his face kind and radiant. “Ellie,” he said gently, “your prayer was heard. Will you help Me share My love tonight?”
Ellie nodded eagerly. The man handed her a small basket filled with bread and a glowing candle. “Take this to your neighbor, Mrs. Carter. She is lonely and in need of kindness.”
Ellie hurried through the snow to the old woman’s house. When Mrs. Carter opened the door, her eyes filled with tears at the sight of Ellie’s gifts. They shared the bread together, and Ellie lit the candle, filling the room with warm, golden light.
As they prayed together, Ellie felt a deep joy in her heart, knowing she was sharing the love of Christ. And that night, she realized the greatest gift wasn’t under a tree—it was Jesus Himself.
