The 48th FICEP camp was a huge success! From 27th of July to 3rd of August, right in the middle of the Olympic Games, more than a hundred participants from five FICEP-countries had an unforgetable week filled with sports, fun, adventures and new friendships in Chartres and Paris.
Icebreaker games & opening ceremony
Kicking off the event, all groups merged together to participate in icebreaker games, a great way to get to know each other. Later on, all participating countries and their members were introduced at the opening ceremony, accompanied by Jonathan Collomb (FICEP Executive Committee) and Gérard Briaud (FSCF General Secretary).
Sport, sport and more sport
Druing the follwing days, participants had the chance to try their hand at various sporting disciplines, typically French or known worldwide, such as archery, pétanque, basketball and canoeing.
To top it of, the participants attended the women’s rugby seven competion of the olympic games at the Stade de France. A spectacular highlight!
Intercultural highlights
This adventorous week was also an opportunity for these young people to reflect on interculturality and to forge strong links across borders. The evening of nations, a key moment of every FICEP camp, enabled each group to showcase its own culture through colorful performances.
