Three young trees once grew high up on a hill. They enjoyed the sun, drank the rain and dreamed of the future. Each had a wish for what they would one day become.
FICEP Open Hour: Generative AI – opportunities for sports organisations and clubs
On 19 November, an exciting workshop on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) took place as part of the ‘FICEP Open Hour’ format, which aims to promote exchange and networking among members. The workshop was led by AI expert Christian Winkelhofer (Accenture GmbH). The event showed how sports associations and clubs can use AI to optimise processes, create creative content and promote inclusion. The 16 participants gained insights into the potential of modern AI tools and practical tips for their responsible use in sports management.

FICEP-FISEC Games 2024
The FICEP-FISEC Games were hosted by FICEP member Clubul Sportiv Roman (CSR). Claudiu Roznovsky and his volunteer team welcomed 16 delegations, 750 boys and girls in the age group of 14-17 and their accompanying adults in Bucarest. The theme of the Games was sustainability, the slogan: ‘Together 4 the Planet’.
Second FICEP Open Hour: Sustainability in Sport
Expert Rachel Robin OSR Manager at FSCF introduced the participants from four countries to the topic “Sustainability in Sports Organizations”. Discussed where the dimensions of sustainability and why it is important for the field of sports and which actions can be taken.
1st FICEP Youth Congress: “Game Changers” for the future
The first FICEP Youth Congress took place in Brno from April 5 to 7, 2024, under the motto “Game Changers” for the future. The aim of this congress was to create a platform for young volunteers to network, share their ideas and strengthen their skills and knowledge through various workshops, both personally and professionally.
A total of 31 participants from five different nations and associations gathered in Brno, including CSR (Romania), DJK (Germany), FSCF (France), OREL (Czech Republic) and SPORTUNION (Austria).
Jacky Raymond Rakotovao elected as new president of FIHEZAMA
FIHEZAMA the member federation of Madagascar elected their new leadership. Jacky Raymond Rakotovao was elected as new president and Maurice Rakotoarisoa as Vice-president. Together with their board members they will continue their international relationship with FICEP and they are looking forward to create future developments for FIHEZAMA.

Juranek re-elected as OREL President, Michael Leyendecker takes over DJK
The Czech association Orel and the German DJK elected their leadership. Stanislav Juránek defended the position as President of OREL for another four years. Michael Leyendecker was elected as President of the DJK Sports Association.
750 young athletes competed at the FISEC-FICEP Games 2023 in Dunkerque
From July 10th to 16th the FISEC-FICEP Games took place in Dunkerque (France). A total of around 750 athletes from 16 different nations competed for medals in seven sports.
International sports organization FICEP is realigned with a three-person executive committee
In April, the FICEP General Assembly took place in Paris. After the planned departure of long-term president Gerhard Hauer, the sports umbrella organization is realigning itself with a change in the statutes, an expansion of the objectives and a trio with Austrian, French and German participation.
47th FICEP camp takes place in Romania this summer
The 47th FICEP camp, an international adventure week, is once again an absolute highlight of the FICEP summer offer this year. In the middle of the Romanian Carpathians, the participating young people can expect a variety of sporting activities, adventurous activities and workshops.
Two golden decorations as farewell for FICEP President Gerhard Hauer
In April, the FICEP General Assembly took place in Paris. President Gerhard Hauer was officially dismissed and received the Golden Decorations of Honor of the Republic of Austria and FICEP.
